Crossing the Finish Line:
How to Show Up and Do Your Work
Do you have an idea for a creative project but don’t know where to begin? Or perhaps you’ve made a good start, but have somehow lost steam or hit a road block along the way. Do you suffer from performance anxiety?
Creating your own work is uniquely rewarding, but it can be overwhelming, too. In this workshop, Susan Poulin will share her story, plus tips, tools, and techniques she’s developed in nearly thirty years of creating and performing solo work and running a small business. We’ll identify obstacles that tend to get in our way and explore new methods of working. Whether you’re designing a website, developing a new project, creating a business plan, or just have a desire to work in a different way, you’ll leave this seminar with a variety of tools to help you jump start your creative process and bring your project to fruition.
The View From Here:
Getting Outside the Box
What are the stories we tell ourselves about our life, our workplace, our world? Are they old stories, and if so, are they still serving us? Are these stories aligned with where we want to be five years from now? Next year? Tomorrow? How can we step outside the box we’re living in and create a new story, one that energizes and transforms us and our work?
This workshop will explore ways to change your perspective and see your work in a different light. We’ll develop tools to help get you unstuck and bust through those old roadblocks. Our goal is to bring a freshness and energy to what you do and how you go about doing it.
“As creative artists, how we live our life is how we make our work.”
