Poolyle Productions kicks off an action packed summer with the launch our new website. Check out our spiffy new logo, a Gordon Carlisle original, and our much more comprehensive site. We have been doing small group presentations, lecture-demonstrations and keynote speeches for quite awhile now, and have included these, as well as a news section on our revamped website.
Our summer performance schedule starts with “In My Head I’m Thin” at Portland’s Lucid Stage July 6-8. We haven’t had an affiliation with a theater in Portland since the Oak Street Theatre closed, and have really missed it. Please help us pack the house, so Lucid will invite us back!
Ida turns fifteen this year. That’s right, “Ida: Woman Who Runs With the Moose” premiered in 1997. To celebrate, Ida’s getting her own website and a brand new show, “I Married an Alien!” This is Ida’s fifth show and Poolyle’s tenth. “I Married an Alien!” will preview at Lucid Stage July 27-29, and premiere at Portsmouth’s WEST August 23 and October 6.
Mark your calendars! Susan’s first book, Finding Your Inner Moose, Ida LeClair’s Guide to Livin’ the Good Life will be released September 21, from Islandport Press. We’re currently scheduling author events, so if want to have a reading at your library, or if your book group is reading Finding Your Inner Moose and would like Susan to participate in the discussion, it’s not to early to book a date.
We’ll keep you posted on details of the book launch as we get closer to September.
We’ll also be videotaping two of our productions this summer, “Spousal Deafness….and Other Bones of Contention” and “The Moose in Me, The Moose in You.” We’re looking for lively audience members, so you’d like to get in on the fun, check out the ACT Festival 2012 for dates and times.
May your summer be filled with fun in the sun and laughter in an air-conditioned theater!
